It's formatted strangely, thanks to poor Word to GoogleDocs transfer. Also, not committed to this idea. Realized while I was working on it that it may be better reserved for the final presentation.

Science Fair Proposal
1. The Pendulum system is better for moving a performer from point A to point B, compared to the Fixed Track System.
2. Dependent Variable: Time taken to reach point B / Accuracy upon reaching B
Independent Variable: Weight / Shape of "Performer"
Control Variable: Length between point A and B
3. My EQ: What is the best way to get a job in theatre?
You need experience with backstage technology if you plan to get a job as part of a stage crew. That means knowing the mechanics of any equipment used during performances.
4. I plan on building scale models of both the Fixed Track and Pendulum fly systems. I will then test both using different sized "Performer" representations.
5. My experiment will most likely fall under the 'Physics' category.

1) AP. I don't have a second interview yet, and I'm still working on finding someplace for service learning. I plan on devoting all of my time to finding a community theater to volunteer for once the play is finished. On the upside, my independent component is practically done. The final show is tomorrow night, so once it's over, my I.C. is complete.
2) The independent component.
3) Everything else. I don't have service learning, I don't have a second interview, I'm already sick of my topic, etc.

Independent Component 1 Plan Approval
1) I plan on using my participation in the school play (All My Sons) as my first independent component.
2) I'm positive this component will reach the thirty hour minimum. I have rehearsal for the play from 3:15 to 5:15 every Tuesday and Wednesday of every week until December. We have already started the rehearsal process. We will be performing the two-hour play twice on the seventh, and twice on the eighth of December.
3) My EQ is all about getting a job in theatre. I think one of the most important parts of getting into theatre is having experience. With this component, I will get experience with both performing, and stagecraft.

2) Best: Easiest/ Most efficient/ Most reliable
Job: Actor/ Stage Crew/ Producer/ Director/ Writer etc.
3) Connections, Studying, Auditioning, Writing
4) So far, my two best sources were my first interview with Linda Bisesti, and a book titled What We Do: Working in the Theatre by Bo Metzler.

Blog 5: Second Interview Questions
Regrettably, I have yet to find someone to do service learning with. I hope to interview someone in a community theater, and will probably ask questions along these lines:
1. Who are you, and what do you do here at the theater?
2. How long have you been a part of this theater?
3. Do you have previous experience with other theaters?
4. How did you get involved with this theater?
5. And the others?
6. How did you prepare yourself for those jobs?
7. Where did you study?
8. What did you study there? Were you always interested in theater?
9. At what point did you realize that you wanted to be involved in theatre?
